0 FOMO Privacy Policy
0 FOMO is a local events app. This policy explains what the app does and does not collect. The short version: the app does not require an account, only ever asks for approximate location (and works fine without it), and the only thing it ever uploads is a post you deliberately forward to us with "Send to 0 FOMO".
What the app collects

Forwarding a post
Android's share sheet offers "Send to 0 FOMO" for text, links and images. When you use it, the app uploads that post (and any note you add) over HTTPS to our inbox at inbox.0fomo.app, together with the installation ID above, the app version and the name of the app you shared from (for example "WhatsApp" or "Instagram", to help the reviewer). Nothing is uploaded until you tap Send in the 0 FOMO sheet.
We use the forwarded post for one purpose: to extract the event details (name, date, venue, price, ticket link) and, if they check out, publish them in the public feed. Extraction is done by automated language and vision models run for us by Google (Gemini API) and DeepSeek, which process the post on our behalf and do not use it for anything else. Some posts are approved automatically when the model is confident; the rest are checked by a person.
We do not store who forwarded a post. The original post and image are kept for up to 90 days so a reviewer can check the extraction, then deleted; a flyer image is kept longer only if it is published as the event's picture. If a forwarded post contains personal details about someone (a phone number in a flyer, for instance), those are used only if they are the organiser's public contact for the event. To have a forwarded post removed, email us the event name and approximate date.
Forward posts you have the right to share. We do not accept posts from private conversations that the sender would not expect to be public.
Network activity
The app downloads a public events feed from our servers over HTTPS. That request carries the standard information any web request carries (your IP address and app version) and is used only to deliver the feed. We do not log or profile it.
When you open a ticket link, a venue website or a map, you leave the app and that site's own privacy policy applies.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the app schedules reminders for events you saved. Reminders are generated on your device; no notification service receives your saved events.
Calendar export
"Add to calendar" hands the event to the calendar app you choose. 0 FOMO does not read your calendar.
Children
The app is intended for adults (18+). Listings may include nightlife and licensed venues.
Your choices
- Turn notifications off in Android settings at any time.
- Revoke the location permission in Android settings at any time; the app keeps working with the city you choose.
- Clear saved events by removing them in the app or uninstalling it.
- Never use "Send to 0 FOMO" and nothing is ever uploaded. If you do forward a post, the copy on your phone is removed once it has been delivered.
Changes
We will post any change to this page and update the effective date above.
